Gay people were NOT born as gay people, and have no special rights because of the CHOICE that they made to be gay. I have nothing against gay PEOPLE. It’s not homosexuals that I have a problem with, it is HOMOSEXUALITY. There is a big difference. As Christians, we are called to love everyone, NO MATTER what SIN they commit. It is a very misunderstood concept that Christians hate gay people. It is the complete opposite. True Christians love all gay people. I am not going to stand on a street corner and through fire and brimstone at you because you’re gay, even though I do disagree with your life CHOICE.
I have heard this argument time and time again and it never fails to vex me. To suggest that homosexuality is a choice, are you not admitting to me that you could consciously choose to be attracted to your gender at this very moment? I’m a straight male. I’m attracted to women. Try though I might, I can’t force myself to feel the same for men. I suspect you couldn’t either…unless you have something you want to tell us.
Studies have shown links between homosexuality & genetics, brain structure, and the uterine environment during pregnancy. This is natural. It’s thought that as many as 1,500 species of animals have or do practice some form of homosexuality. So, what exactly makes you think being gay is a choice? I’ve never met anyone who “decided” what their sexual orientation would be. I can’t imagine why anyone would look at the discrimination, bullying, inequality, and hatred toward homosexuals and think, “Yeah, I want to get in on that!”
You say you love everyone, including homosexuals; that Christian hatred is merely a misconception. Yet here you are, preaching that their lifestyle is wrong, that they have chosen to be that way, and that their sexual urges are “sinful”. You are degrading and discriminating against them. You are advocating the denial of equal rights to them. This is not love.

Now, I have no problems with you for believing in something. I can respect that. Some of my greatest friends are religious. Totally fine by me. My problem comes in when you start trying to make your opinions and beliefs an enforced rule.
Because it’s not your fucking choice to dictate who loves who.
